Yoga has been part of my life on and off since the age of 17 but it was through high stress levels and anxiety from working in education full time causing burnout that I turned inwards and dedicated my time more fully to the practice of yoga.
Following my heart, I firstly trained in children’s and teen yoga and then continued my journey completing my 200 hour training with Zenways in August 2018. It was on my course that gave me a greater understanding of working with the breath and moving with softness.
I believe very strongly that I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me. I continue to extend my knowledge by working and training with local teachers to enhance my own experience not only as a teacher but as a student of the practice too.
In my classes, I love to blend together, traditional yoga postures, flow movements and breath, creating space to become more sensitive to what the body needs from each posture, helping to free the mind.
I seek to help others to find softness and gentleness within their practice and empower them to take this off the mat, into the world. It is my hope that yoga is just the start of your journey and it is one that stays with you for life.
“Charlie’s class is one I would highly recommend as a strong focal point for wellbeing.A gentle practise that connects mind and body, I found it to be a perfect distraction from my busy anxious mind.”
"Massage is such an intimate therapy; I really need to feel secure and in the presence of a practitioner who can connect to my energy, and sense what's needed for me to relax and attune to myself. Charlie has a very natural way of creating a feeling of trust and ease of being. Her touch is firm, yet gentle...I felt held, cared for and able to be with my body."
