Claire Scanlan

Meet Claire

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working in the NHS as well as for charities including the British Red Cross and the Breast Cancer Haven.

I specialise in working with people affected by illness (especially cancer) and loss, from children and young people to couples and families. I also have a special interest in supporting people to make decisions about, navigate and manage periods of transition or change in their lives.  This could include relationships, careers, parenthood, illness, bereavement and everything in between.  I am acutely aware of the pressures of modern day living and the challenges associated with this such as stress, anxiety, low mood and feeling overwhelmed and am able help you find ways of managing this.

I am able to work with individuals, couples and families and offer a safe, contained and collaborative space in which to explore and support you through any challenges you may be experiencing.
