Meet Jessica

A mother of 2 and having had children quite young, I craved a place like UMEUS for a support. Fast forward 11 years I am now able to offer my training and experience to parents, in what can be the most wonderful time but also the most stressful and tiring.

Alongside my study for the last 3 years, I have worked as a lunch supervisor at a primary school, connecting with children from 4-11 years old. This has allowed me to make some wonderful bonds and help them through challenging times, whether with friendship issues on the playground, exam stress and anxiety, or to be a listening ear when they need it. Seeing the world from a child’s perspective has been a wonderful opportunity for me.

My aim is that my clients will find in me a supportive and understanding counsellor, appreciating the beauty of being a parent but the difficulties it can bring too.  You may be struggling with day-to-day life or want to explore things from your past. Whatever you need to bring to your counselling sessions I aim to walk alongside you in this work and help get you to where you want to be.

I offer a safe space for my clients to explore their experiences, and because I am a person-centred counsellor I won’t be directing or offering you advice as to where to go with your therapy, more supporting you along your journey and do what I can to understand your world.

I am a student member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and follow their ethical framework.
